Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I am new to Transition Whatcom and have only just started visiting the web site. However I am a believer -- it covers a critical topic and facilitates people getting more involved both with their neighbors and in the transition process.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
The movement focuses us on an issue that is HUGE for all of us today. Likely very few of us really understand how important, and many of us are still in total ignorance or denial. The movement will help us all deal with the future wherever we are right now in the transition process.

I identify with a number of the interest groups and intend to get more directly involved.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I am a jack of all trades and a master of none. I have some level of experience with gardening, forestry, carpentry, computers, and design; less with residential electrical and plumbing systems. I am very interested in intentional community and natural housing systems such as cob and straw bale.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Cedar Grove Park, a co-operative senior housing community near Lake Padden
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
By researching my home-to-be and interests prior to moving to Bellingham.
Please note that you do not have to answer all of the above questions in order to join, and you can always come back later to edit your profile. If it's all too many questions for now, please provide a short answer below on why you'd like to join this site (or a summary of the above, if answered).
This site provides very personal ways to get more involve in our community and with our neighbors as we transition to more earth-friendly lifestyles.
