Bellingham Food Bank's Garden Project is actively recruiting and there are many ways to be involved.

The entire focus of the project is to empower folks who want to grow their own food with the resources and skills that it takes to do so.  The Garden Project will build 25 raised-bed vegetable gardens at low-income households in Bellingham.  We provide the garden bed, soil, seeds and plant starts, basic gardening resources, and education in the form of mentoring and workshops. While seeds grow to abundance, gardeners grow with a sense of accomplishment and community connection.

We're recruiting Bellingham households that would like a garden and the support that the program offers.

We're also looking for construction volunteers and mentors.

For more information, or if you have any questions, please call (360) 393-2838 or email gardenproject@bellinghamfoodbank.org

Together, we'll grow food and community from the ground up.
