I request your endorsement,

I am not happy with the bad votes by Rep. Rick Larsen regarding defense spending and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I think I have issues to bring up that nobody else will touch and I am willing to state up front where I stand on all the issues.

I believe that in order for the citizens to know who they really are, public officials and candidate must speak up on all issues, not just local and state issues. Some national issues go to the very heart of who they are. We need to do away with the non-partisan office. There is no such thing.

I find fault with his lack of leadership (failure to speak up) on very important issues. For example, against the wars, why we must prosecute AWOL Bush et al and others, and why we need a new investigation of the mass murder on 9/11.

1. I support adding a statement to the Democratic Party platform that says, "Human evolution is a fact." Why? Because it is the duty of honorable citizens to speak truth to those who run for office who are anti-science.

2. I want the Democratic Party platform to say “Population growth is a problem.” Because I believe this is an answer to peak oil and global climate change and the shortage of fresh water.

3. I demand the prosecution of Bush et. al. for high crimes and war crimes and Obama for nonfesance in office and he is an accessory after the fact to war crimes for failing to prosecute.

We can lead by example and when we say the pledge of alliances ….with liberty and justice for all…I am going to add “ESPECIALLY FOR BUSH AND KISSINGER.”

4. I demand a new investigation of the mass murder on 9/11.

5. I support requiring the super rich to pay more into social security.

6. I support publically financed campaigns for public office.

7. I am against the Coal Trains, but Rep. Rick Larsen wants to keep the trains a-rolling along.

8. I want to see a new WPA set up to help reduce unemployment.

9. I want a new Congressional Hearing about the CIA's plot to kill JFK given that we still have newsmen like Chris Matthews saying Oswald was the lone assassin.

The necessity of helping the sick and the poor.

Proverbs 3:27instructs those to not withhold goods from the deserving when it's in their power to do so.

Jesus defined the Christian's role of aiding the needy in Matthew 25: 35-41 and speak out against religious hypocrites in Matthew 23.

The idea of wealth redistribution isn't new - Luke the Apostle actually advocated for it in Acts 4, in a passage called "Believers Share Their Possessions."

· We need to re-name the Reagan airport after William E. Dodd. History matters.
· William E. Dodd, was the US ambassador to Germany starting in 1933. He repeated requested to his bosses back at the State Department to allow him to make one sort of protest or another regarding the Nazis' treatment of the Jews. Invariably, his requests were denied.
· The Nazis paid attention to their image in the United States. They never abandoned their penchant for violence, but early on they sometimes moderated it .

There are over 114 omissions of evidence from the 9/11 Commission’s final report. Every single one of those contradicts the Commissions final report, yet none of them are included in that report. Including any mention of WTC buildings 6 and 7. It would be as though you are in court, and every piece of evidence you produce gets ignored simply because it contradicts what the prosecutor is saying.

Fixing the economic mess we are in:

"I Dick McManus, pledge to the taxpayers that I will tax fairly by raising taxes on the top 1% of Americans and that I will tax corporations fairly by eliminating tax loopholes. I also pledge to end corporate welfare, such as subsidies to oil companies and agribusiness. I also pledge to not use tax dollars to help send American jobs out of America. I also pledge to downsize the empire we have built by closing half the military bases overseas; cutting the Pentagon budget by half and ending foreign occupations –and getting the US out of NATO.

We need Medicare for all. Medicare has lower administrative costs than private insurers.

There should be a 2 percent annual surtax on all fortunes over $7 million. This would only hit the richest half a percent of Americans at the very top of the heap. And would yield $70 billion a year – enough to improve our schools and make college affordable to everyone.

The best way to ensure the Social Security program’s long-term solvency is to lift the ceiling on income subject to Social Security payroll taxes (now $106,800.) We need Medicare for all. Medicare has lower administrative costs than private insurers.

We should tax carbon-based fuels, and divide the revenues equally among all Americans. It’s the best way to get us to switch to non-carbon fuels, and stimulate research and development of them. And by dividing the revenues, the typical American would come out ahead even though some prices would increase.

We may need global anti-trust rules for transnational corporations which now exist only at national level and to limit how closely tied transnational corporations are, one possible solution: firms should be taxed for excess interconnectivity to discourage this risk.

· Support a Financial Transaction Tax –This was proposed in 1971 by Nobel Laureate economist James Tobin “to throw some sand in the gears of our excessively efficient money markets.” This proposal would apply a sales tax on Wall Street transactions and serve as a brake on high frequency computer trading that significantly increases market volatility. According to a recent New York Times article, a tax of just .5 % could raise up to $175 billion in revenue a year, even if the total number of transactions were reduced by half.

· Close the “Carried Interest” Loophole in the Capital Gains Tax – This loophole allows managers of financial partnerships, such as hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds and real estate funds to pay tax on bonuses at just 15 % rather than the personal income rate of 35%. Closing the loophole would raise $20 billion over the next decade.

· End tax breaks to oil & gas companies – It’s time to end the tax breaks and subsidies for big oil companies. The big five oil companies have made more than $1 trillion the last decade as gas prices for the consumer have risen. It’s estimated that eliminating subsidies could reduce the debt by up to $122 billion over a decade.

· We need to resurrect the Glass-Steagall Act and break up the biggest banks. And we should have a tax on financial transactions. Even a tiny one of one-half of one percent would generate $200 billion a year.
· We need to end the Federal Reserve System and return the control of the money supply to the US Treasury Department.
· The bottom line is super capitalism will no longer works because we are running out of cheap oil and other resources.

This is my stand on global climate change:

We should have been making huge changes in our greenhouse gas productions, probably 100 years back. We are so close to the tipping point that a random environmental event could push us over. A big sustained volcano could do it. A warming of the ocean over the massive deposits of methane hydrate could do it. Continued production of greenhouse gases will do it. The arctic is getting warmer. this melts more freshwater trapped in glaciers. This surge can stop the salt water conveyer and then all bets are off.

The climate cannot afford for us to burn petroleum products for fuel. It ain’t about the money or the lack of oil. Doing it changes the climate. We need to use petrol products for materials, not fuel.

I support the use of fracking by gas companies to get natural gas out of shale, but I want to see an FDIC style insurance program set-up to pay for damage done to people and their ground water and cleaning up the environment. A program where the US government comes in and inspects the damage caused by fracking from time to time and rules on the value of the damage and/ors aids the people in finding a new place to live.

Recognize the rich tradition of fisheries within our culture, and support the long term viability of locally owned and operated small scale fisheries.
• Favor selective fishing methods, e.g. those which minimize by catch and damage to benthic communities, over less selective and more environmentally damaging methods, even if the latter may be more economically efficient.
• Incorporate marine spatial planning and area management principles as part of the catch shares plan development process.
• Guard against consolidation of fishing fleets into a few large vessels, and transfers of quota shares from individuals to large corporations. Running on Empty Caucus of Democrats in the United States

Join a group of Democrats (working class liberals) who believe the end of cheap oil and natural gas and global climate change will result in an extreme disaster. Rep. Jay Inslee and most Democratic Party public officials see technology coming to our rescue and have backed the Apollo project. but myself and others disagree. However, any planning for the future that hopes to cope with mass starvation and unemployment, should have backup plans, yet I see no such thinking. Since 2004 when I learned about peak oil, I see only negative news. I hope we can link up with other like minded people in other countries of Earth.

1. There are no sustainable energy sources that will rescue us at our current population levels and so we must reduce our population and HOW it should be reduced is a question for civil society.

2. Population reduction must be a part of any plan to rationally deal with peak oil (the end of cheap oil, natural gas, and coal), global climate change, biological/species decline, and natural resource depletion.

3. Global climate change will only be mitigated with extremely stringent emissions policies that reduce consumption rates and this must be done before fossil fuels are depleted.

4. Our government and/or political system have no chance whatsoever to react soon enough to help us, but I will still work to support Democrats in elections.
