Come to bloom this Sunday (Nov 22nd)
Doors open at 11:00 for brunch at bloom
Tristan Bach will be leading a Qigong workshop from 11:30 - 12:30. Come join us in slow graceful movements to energize your meridians. Tao-Yin-Fa practice.
Elena Dominguez will be leading a Yoga set just prior to the Heart and Soul Focus group from 1:00 - 2:00.
Heart and Soul Focus group from 2:00 - 4:00... Our group structures and processes can impede or expedite our goals. Come learn a cool group process tool that can be used in any Transition project. It's simple and it facilitates a circular flow for equal participation, draws on the collective creativity of the group, and keeps groups focused on the purpose of the project.
The film Koyaanisqatsi will follow in the 4:00 hour. In the Hopi language, the word Koyaanisqatsi means 'crazy life, life in turmoil, life out of balance, life disintegrating, a state of life that calls for another way of living', and the film implies that modern humanity is living in such a way. The film depicts different aspects of the relationship between humans, nature, and technology. The film consists primarily of slow motion and time-lapse photography of cities and many natural landscapes across the United States. The visual tone poem contains neither dialogue nor a vocalized narration: its tone is set by the juxtaposition of images and music.
