Empower yourself in this "field-to-table" workshop. Learn to prepare fresh masa the traditional way, using both wood ash and lime as we transform locally-grown organic corn into an important staple food. Advice on growing good tortilla corn will also be provided as we enjoy a sampling of tortillas hot off the grill with home-grown beans.
REGISTER THROUGH WHATCOM FOLK SCHOOL at www.whatcomfolkschool.org or 319-7495. $15 registration fee to WFS plus $20 class fee to instructor. Pay one registration fee to WFS and take as many classes in the series as you like.
