OUR Ecovillage will host a 2 week permaculture design certificate course (PDC), with a focus on organizing and activism. “Learn how to heal soil and cleanse water, how to design human systems that mimic natural systems, using a minimum of energy and resources and creating real abundance and social justice. Explore the strategies and organizing tools we need to make our visions real...”.

Earth activist & author, Starhawk, is still on Vancouver Island for the final permaculture design course. Location outside of Duncan at OUR Ecovillage, is directly west of us across the Salish Sea, reachable by public transpo (bus) and ferry from Antacortes to Sidney, BC.

I've just returned from 10 days as volunteer & guest at OUR Ecovillage on Vancouver Island. Our neighbor, Bruce H, is living there working as a chef, and taking their Natural Building classes. The village location is directly west of us, outside of Duncan on Vancouver Island. Along with the Bullock Homestead permaculture site on Orcas Island, this 'village' is one of the closest sites to our local community that hosts PDC (Permaculture Design Courses) every year with well-seasoned instructors.
