Chuckanut Transition will be hosting a photo presentation and celebration titled Black and Yellow Bugs: Pests, Predators, Pollinators and How to Deal with Them in Your Garden. Chuck Nafziger and several of his neighbors have been taking beautiful photographs of insects around the Bow-Alger area. With the help of a WWU entomologist, Chuck has identified many bugs, but many he has not. The more he studied the more he realized he did not know. Come and explore the diverse, mysterious and complicated web of these important bugs and how to deal with them in your garden. Then to celebrate and embrace the returning light we will burn two fire sculptures, "Nesting Functions" and "Dragonfly". Winter is the perfect time to dream of abundant gardens, life...and the return of light! Program schedule: 5:30 pm potluck, 6:30 pm presentation, 8:00 pm fire sculpture. Free Event. Donations to hall appreciated.
