Event Description

It is not hard to see that our current civilization is in trouble. Change is on the wind, but how do we create a new model for civilization that will be healthy and sustainable not only for us and our children, but for the Earth also? Daimon Sweeney will share his experiences and insights into this and many other questions as he shares his simple, yet elegant approach that could pave the way to a new model for civilization.

Daimon has been exploring how people cooperate for over 40 years. In the early 70's, he lived in Tennessee's famous and highly successful intentional community, known as 'The Farm'. He currently holds a degree in Sustainable Culture, and intends to pursue an advanced degree at the University of British Columbia in the near future. To learn more about him and his approach, go to his website at: missionquestion.com

Vegetarian food will be provided so make sure to bring a hungry stomach! The menu will include Indian-style Garbanzo Bean Curry and Rice. Feel free to bring some food to share if you would enjoy doing so.

Ah, the FARM! I saw Albert Bates at a peak oil conference in 2005 or 2006, and bought his book. They got it goin' on down there.
