Event Description

Join us for an Educational and Fun day beginning with two morning workshops ( see details below) and then a 1-5pm Tour of Edible Gardens of Lummi Island.  $5 Individual, $15 family, includes the workshops! 

The Beautiful Tour T-shirt can also be your ticket! Purchase at the Lummi Island Saturday Market, any Saturday from 6/14/14 until day of the Tour, 8/16/14.

Wondering what all the “buzz” is about? Come and bee introduced to the fascinating world of native pollinators. We will talk about who they are, why they are so important and how making a few changes in your yard can help support their populations. Slide show, presentation & display. Lummi Island Library.

Guided Tour of Loganita Farm with a Focus on Small-Scale, High Production Vegetable Gardening:
Explore small-scale, high production vegetable production techniques including raised bed and in-ground growing, crop spacing, succession planting, pest control, soil and plant health, and choosing appropriate vegetable varieties.

There is plenty of good food, produce and stay for an early evening performance of "South Pacific" at Beach School Auditorium, presented by the PTO Lummi Island Summer Theatre Camp, 7pm. (additional fee)

All proceeds benefit Beach Elementary School’s future and education on Lummi Island through the not-for-profit Lummi Island Foundation for Education.
