I tried commenting but it didn't appear to go through. I'm interested in the re-skilling fair, and have discussed this with Tom Anderson. I'll be out of town March 15, but keep me in the loop. Thanks.
Yes I would like to help out. Not just TW but anybody who is involved with sustainable activities. I'll try and be there on May 26, and I'll be in touch.
I will be delighted to help with marketing and thank you for asking me. Unfortunately I am out of town on the 25th and and am more than full time busy on an innovation discovery project until June 30. I can possibly give review comments during this period of time. Please keep me in the loop and on your list and I'll jump in when I see an opportunity. Does this work for you?
Kate, Thanks for the comment. Hopefully I will be able to contribute. I suggest you join our chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation. Google WAPF to learn about it. We are starting to become very active on GMO. soy and many other health related issues. We will be setting up a table at Terra Organica on Sunday 15 May, 1500-1700 as a start to attempt to TEACH-TEACH-TEACH. Come see us. Please call me at my home at 933-0202.
So what is the url of where it is now? Why did it have to be moved? It was about food security, at least from my perspective anyway. What is the rule of thumb for future postings?
Thanks for your note and information about the youth gardening programs. It would be easier for me to exchange talk about our project ideas over the phone or in person. If you wouldn't mind giving me a call to WellSpring or sending me your number, that would be most helpful. My best, Laurie
at the place where you change or set your profile there is a place to change the background format...I played around for about 1/2 hour with the features and finally got what I wanted.....is this helpful?
yes, I do have currant plants for sale, they are by far my favorite, I love the flavor, they are super healthy for you and they grow very easily. Just let me know how many you want and when, they are $5 each. Travis
Hey Kate, Just got your invite. Haven't plugged in for weeks. Heading off to work, not much time to read on, I like the stuff about energy addicts. Look forward to learning more. Glad to know there is another person thinking about that and encouraging others to do the same. Anything coming up in the future?
Sorry to be so slow replying, but I've been out of town all week. No, I do not know Craig McConnell. But more to the point, as far as I know, I have no position of responsibility in any workgroup. So I'm probably not the person who needs to make that contact. I remain interested in working on the EDAP and when others are ready to start it, I'll help if I can.
Hi Kate! I'm loving all the energy you're adding to the online site here, including your good news blog! My apologiez that I've not been able to respond to all the new group activity, and I'm not yet read up on all the TW online activity....I missed seeing you this past Weds at emerging transition meeting, though I understand life is full and the sunshine is blossoming along with lots to do outside! Feel free to phone me anytime and we can chat, brainstorm, or come on out for a visit in the garden sancturay and we can either share over garden work, or I'll make you tea & chocolate and your can relax and just be present. Thanks for all you do! Hugs!
Hi Kate, You are still an admin on the TW "Local Food Security Events - Planning Team" http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/localfoodsecurityeventsplanningteam
As a group admin it is possible for you to rename the group and revise the purpose just as it currently states in the discussion.
I recall that both David MacLeod & Shannon Maris are also admins....If needed others could be added like Laura R. If you click on the site you'll see all the options.
I have been trying to find information about the Mt Vernon Entrepreneurs and the possibility of inviting a manufacturing plant locally for producing value-added food products. Short of giving the ag extension a call, I just wanted to contact you again to see if there was something specific I could read about, or some history to the discussion. I really think that the more local industry we can build, the better!
Thanks!!!
Hi Kate, Would somebody be able to post a summary discussion on the final decisions & outcome of the Food -Farmland- Gardening work groups that met on Day 2?
There are many of us gardeners/growers/farmers who were not able to be present in that group on the 2nd day and would be interested. Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know, Kate.
The time won't work for me, unfortunately.
Things are pretty full right now, but I would like to make myself available if you want my input on anything specific: 599-2134.
