I would be happy to post your offer of a group purchase for the oil press in the Garden E-News - if that is OK with you - let me know.

Laura, Regarding the expeller press....your link didn't work for me. I'm curious about the equipment but not ready to go in on a purchase. Thanks for finding this. I've been wondering what a low tech method of oil extraction would look like. Do you know if it works on nuts? Or what is the range of things that you can extract from?

I'd think that Brian and Alexandra at Inspiration Farm would be really interested in this equipment.

I am interested in purchasing a hand-crank expeller press (cold press) for home-processed oil. I found a model that looks really good for 100Euros (approx. $135), shipped from the Netherlands. If 4 are purchased at a time, they are 72Euros each (approx. $95). Anyone interested in going in on a purchase? I'm not 100% decided yet, but it sounds good...contact me on my profile page if you want to get in on this. http://www.piteba.com/if you want to look them up. Cheers, Laura jean

Is anyone planning to cook an organic turkey? I would like to get turkey bones and cartilage to make bone broth. We aren't cooking a turkey but if you are and you'd like to share the bones I will make broth and share it with you. I do a long slow simmer (2 to 3 days) with lots of herbs, roots and vinegar to extract minerals from the bones. I'm also willing to teach the technique. Angela MacLeod (reply to my member page here)
