DESCRIPTION:Thursday, June 25: 7 PM-9 PM at the downtown Community Co-
 op’s Healthy Connections Building (on the south side of the parking 
 lot on Forest Street).\n\nWe believe that the dual crises of global cl
 imate change and peak oil are going to profoundly impact our lives and
  our communities. Climate change requires that we choose to quickly an
 d dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Peak oil, which will r
 esult in much more expensive and thus reduced energy supply, will soon
  force us to use much less energy.\n\nTransition Whatcom will work wit
 h our neighbors in all Whatcom County communities to catalyze local ef
 forts to build greater local-self reliance in terms of food, transport
 ation, winter heating, and medical care — and to build a positive li
