 w he learned to overcome them. The practical methods he shares inspire
  readers to see how we can do the same, and how our personal changes c
 an affect global situations. Especially relevant to me was feeling div
 ided from people whose hostile actions had made me want to shut them o
 ut. Scott’s methods helped me increase my compassion for what in the
 ir pasts might have caused such hostility and this lessened my need fo
 r separation. I strongly recommend this book to all who want to build 
 bridges over the walls that divide us from nature and from each other.
