 Community Garden (McLeod & Northwest Ave.) for a FREE  garden talk an
 d demonstration on composting techniques.  Learn how to choose the ri
 ght, how to manage your compost and more.\n \nFor this workshop WSU M
 aster Gardeners and Master Composters have teamed up with the Faith Lu
 theran Community garden, the latest recipient of a WSU Whatcom Extensi
 on Community First Project Grant.  WSU will partner with community ga
 rden spaces throughout the growing season to teach, learn and share id
 eas.  \n \nComposting is good for your yard and garden, good for th
 e environment, easy to do and fun!  Compost contributes nutrients and
  beneficial life to soils.\nAdding compost to your soils can quadruple
  the soil’s ability to hold water which is an important component of
  gardening.\n \nCompost, because a rind is a terrible thing to waste!
