DESCRIPTION:Every year, the Backbone Campaign, which is headquartered 
 here on Vashon, has a week long workshop for activists. Most of their 
 activities are oriented toward promoting sustainable policies at the s
 tate and national levels. There will be people from all over the count
 ry here both to teach and to learn. Anyone is welcome to participate: 
 check the backbonecampaign.org for details of the Localize This! Actio
 n Camp. Bill Moyer, the director of the Backbone Campaign, asked me if
  someone from Transition Whatcom would be willing to come down during 
 that week to share knowledge about what you have accomplished there. T
 he Workshop is from July 31 to Aug 5, although Aug 5 is reserved for a
  planned action in Tacoma. We at Transition Vashon also admire all the
  great work you are doing and it would be a service to us as well to b
 e able to talk with you. Let me know if someone is willing to come dow
 n. I'm sure we can find a way to cover your expenses and to feed you a
 nd put you up for the night. There will be camping facilities at the w
