SUMMARY:Singing Alive: A Celebration of Sacred Song & Dance
DESCRIPTION:Singing Alive is a gathering bringing people together who 
 feel called to awaken, & nuture their spiritual life thru communion wi
 th songs ( prayers, chants, blessings, and so om) of celebration of li
 fe in this benevolent universe. Such songs clarify our lives, strength
 en our communities, and foster personal and planetary renewal. At Sing
 ing Alive we gather to share them, and ourselves, in a safe, welcoming
  environment.  Our goal is to open hearts, and the songs are the keys
 .  These songs are multi-cultural, coming to us from many eras and la
 nds far and near.\nSinging Alive gatherings depend on cooperative ener
 gies to keep things flowing well. To keep the gathering affordable to 
 all who wish to attend, we ask everybody to volunteer to assist in th
 e smooth running of the event. We’ll ask for volunteers for the need
 s of the day at the morning circle, and leave it to you to keep to you
 r commitments. Everyone is requested to bring food and drinks to contr
 ibute to the community kitchen, and to help cook, clean, and to do oth
 er necessary tasks, including childcare, registration, firewood gather
 ing, circle recording, washing dishes, cleaning up, running errands, e
 tc.\nThis is a living-on-the-land thing, so come prepared with tent, b
 edding, flashlights, water bottle, warm clothes, etc.\nThe food visio
 n is to enjoy a great potluck (food for everyone, no vendors), with fo
 calizers/organizers providing staples, such as grains, condiments, coo
 king oils, kitchen infrastructure, and a person who’s task it is to 
 run the whole thing.\nSince it will be harvest season, there should be
  much abundance out there. Bring what fruits and vegetables you can to
  feed the Family! Everything will be vegetarian, and as organic as pos
 sible.\nBring your own plates, cups, and silverware and keep them for 
 the duration. We’ll have a dishwashing station set up and a tea sta
 tion, so helpful hands and donations of tea, chais, coffees, etc. will
