0pm. Please refer to the schedule below. We will not be meeting on hol
idays weekends.\nFor Payment and Registration click here.\nThis progra
m is hands on and experiential in nature, focusing on permaculture pra
ctices on the land at Wildroot Botanicals, growing medical plants, and
processing the herbs we grow into medicine throughout the growing sea
son.\nThree different instructors will be leading: Permaculturists, He
ather Tizai and Reisha Beck will each teach one Monday per month. On t
he remaining Mondays, Leslie Lekos will lead in the medicine making co
mponents of the course.\nPermaculture Description\nParticipants will
learn about how to prepare garden beds and cultivate healthy, organic
soils through permaculture and biodynamic techniques.  Appropriate ti
llage and proper use of tools will be explored.  We will learn how to
increase soil productivity by making and using nutrient dense compost
, applying soil amendments when necessary, and spreading biodynamic pr
eparations.  Mulching techniques and cover cropping will be implement
ed to reduce weed competition, retain soil moisture, and to quickly tr
ansform new growing areas into fertile ground.  Participants will als
o learn how to use effective companion planting, perennial food system
s, and pollinator plantings to create restorative, ecologically divers
e landscapes that produce high yields of food and medicine crops. \nh

ays we will be harvesting, processing and bottling herbal medicines fo
r the Wildroot Botanicals Apothecary.  Students will participate and
witness the whole process of medicine making from harvesting, processi
ng and packaging for a variety of preparations including tinctures, te
as, salves, lotions and hydrosols.\nWe appreciate participants to be r
eliable, committed and clear in their goal to expand their herbal know
ledge. We also like students to be open to doing tasks that need to be
done, while trusting we will do our best to offer a well rounded weal
 th of information.\nhttps://www.wildrootbotanicals.com/wp-content/uplo
