DESCRIPTION:Please join us at the third “Party Up For Power Down” 
 gathering at the Sustainable Living Center (SLC) at 7pm on Thursday, J
 uly 16th.\n\nMORE PARTY; LESS TALKING HEADS\nOur first Party Up for Po
 wer Down was focused on listening to our members and what concerns and
  interests they have. Our second was focused on listening to the Initi
 ating Group and hearing more about the structure and path of Transitio
 n Whatcom. This time the focus will be on building the community and c
 onnections between us all.\n\nACTIVITIES\nWe have two activities plann
 ed to help us get to know one another more deeply. During one activity
  we’ll experience first-hand about the resilience built into our int
 ricate web of life.\n\nThe second activity involves bartering. Let’s
  learn how to do this.... together. We’d like each of you to bring 3
  to 5 things you already own and no longer need. Said things should be
  small enough to be placed in front of you on the floor (i.e. books, C
 Ds, knickknacks, food, small garden tools, small plants, etc.). Why? C
 ome find out. And know that we’d like you to take home any unclaimed
  things you bring (yes, it’s the RE Store, but our goal is not to le
 ave them more stuff!)\n\nWHAT’S 'TRANSITION BLAINE' (TB) UP TO?\nRon
  Snyder and Cathy Taggert will inform us about the projects TB is alre
 ady involved with and their plans ahead.\n\nBRING SNACKS.\nSnacks incl
 ude wine and beer!\n\nWHERE’S THE SLC?\nIt’s above the RE Store on
  Meridian Street. Come around the back and find the stairway that is s
 igned to the SLC. The stairway is often hidden by a large truck traile
 r.\n\nAnd check the SLC out for future meetings for your other groups!
