SUMMARY:Landscape \"Waste\" Basketry Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Bring your mother for this Mother's day celebration event 
 and share special time working with gifts from Mother Nature!  This w
 orkshop will use tree prunings, ornamental plant trimmings, and other 
 urban landscape waste plant products to create baskets of the flat-wov
 en variety, such as those seen in the picture. There will also be a de
 monstration on creating placemats. The workshop will tour a garden and
  urban landscape to learn to recognize, harvest, store, cure, and prep
 are common materials for weaving.  Each participant will receive enou
 gh previously prepared materials to weave one basket or mat. There wil
 l be a break for potluck snacks. Please bring weather-appropriate clot
 hing, work gloves, one-handed garden snippers, and a snack to share. F
 ee is $30 or work trade by pre-arrangement. Enrollment is limited to t
 en, with any children ten-and-younger accompanied by one adult helper
