SUMMARY:'I Dance!' - A Living Dance Workshop
DESCRIPTION:'I Dance!' is a (mostly) outdoor dance workshop in the glo
 ry of summer in the Pacific NW. It is about the joy of dancing, speaki
 ng, and singing as our multi-faceted selves. It is about diversity.  
  It is about union.  It is about stillness and silence.  It is about
  communion with spirit and nature - living in harmony with the Earth a
 nd each other!\nThis living workshop will be in the form of a Tuesday 
 evening class in Angela and David MacLeod’s beautiful Bellingham bac
 kyard garden for 12 weeks, starting June 21 and ending Sept 6.  We wi
 ll have the use of their house in case of rain, and when what we're do
 ing lends itself to an indoor experience.  We will gather at 6:15, st
 art the class at 6:30, and end at 8:30pm.  \n'I Dance' includes a Sat
 urday daytime class in a beautiful country setting near Kendall on Jul
 y 23, from 11 am to 5 pm.\nIn each class we will have a half hour warm
 -up time with recorded (and perhaps live) music provided by our hosts 
 and DJs, Angela and David; this is a chance to arrive, breathe, relax 
 and get into our bodies in our own way.  We will find our own connect
 ion to the aliveness and beauty of nature.  \nThe rest of the time wi
 ll include various options.  Susan Price, our facilitator, will offer
  simple movement scores, gentle frameworks, in which to connect to our
  own authentic movement.  We will have some group activities and pair
  off for others.  We will cultivate the art of seeing and being seen.
   We will dance from the inside out, finding our way to movement that
  feels connected to who we are in the moment, movement that is meaning
 ful to us, without needing to look a certain way.  We will be using m
 ovements, words and possibly music we create to stitch together a perf
 ormance piece that we will perform fully as part of our ongoing practi
 ce.  We can choose as a group to share this with others or not.  We 
 will sit in council circle and speak our truth from our hearts.\nThe s
 uggested donation for the whole series is a sliding scale of $125-150.

 those people who are committed to the 12 evening classes and the Satur

 ow.\nAbout Susan Price:\nSus Price first came fully alive as a dancer 
 at a Contact Improv workshop when she was a student at Fairhaven Colle
 ge.  She then began exploring and then teaching various forms of Post
  Modern Dance, including six weeks studying Contact Improv in San Fran
 cisco, and many workshops with Deborah Hay. She helped to form and per
 form in the groups Trillium and Starfish Ensemble.  The freedom and p
 lay she experienced in Contact Improv, Ecstatic Dance and Authentic Mo
 vement, continue to the present.  In recent years she has found deep 
 connection and soul satisfaction dancing in nature.\n\nFor more inform
