SUMMARY:Herbal Medicine-Making Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Making herbal tinctures and salves is an easy, enjoyable w
 ay to heal yourself and others, save money, and take back responsibili
 ty for your health. In this two-part workshop, you'll learn how to mak
 e an herbal salve and how to make herbal tinctures from alcohol and/or
  glycerine. You will also learn an easy way to calculate the proportio
 ns of your ingredients to make sure your tinctures will be effective.\
 n\nIn Part 1 (Nov 21), we will make comfrey oil and echinacea tincture
  through maceration. We will also learn how to make an alcohol tinctur
 e through percolation (a very effective and much faster method that pr
 ofessional herbalists use) and how to construct your own percolation v
 essel.\n\nIn Part 2 (Dec 5), we will strain our echinacea tincture and
  make salve from our comfrey oil. We will also learn how to make tinct
 ures with glycerine, and whether to use alcohol, glycerine, or a combi
 nation for the most effective tincture.\n\nWe will be talking a lot ab
 out herbs and herbal medicine-making throughout! We hope you will come
  with your questions as well as your own knowledge to share.\n\nWhen:\
