 and lighter blades, and an ergonomic set up for your body makes them o
 ne of the most efficient and elegant tools out there. Learn what makes
  a good scythe, how to properly maintain and use it. Mow your lawn or 
 field, trim around trees or fence line with ease. Or if you already us
 e a scythe, bring it and get expert coaching to increase your skills a
 t sharpening or to refine your scything technique.  Hope you can join
  us!\n\nThe Workshop will be geared towards what the participants are 
 interested in learning about scythes, as well as experienced scythers.
  Some of the topics which may be covered include: - Selecting the righ
 t blade and a snath for the job - How to make the best use of what you
 ’ve got - Setting up a scythe and a snath - Peening with a jig and b
 asic freehand peening with hammer and anvil - Sharpening and honing - 
 Mowing techniques - How to avoid damaging the blade - How to repair bl
 ade chips and cracks  Bring a scythe if you own one to get pointers on
  how to adjust the snath and the blade, so it fits you for best result
 . Old scythes with dull rusty blades and ceased adjusting parts will b
