Conscious Kids Emotional Mastery Group

This is a four part series for children ages 5 - 12. The group is designed to enrich emotional well-being; children might, but do not need to have, an identified emotional or behavioural issue in order to attend.  Please note an in-home interview is required prior to attending the group.

This group will be fun! It includes a drum circle format; coloring mandalas; expressive movement; breathing, relaxation and mindfulness techniques; and role play.

Dates and Time: The in-home pre-group interviews are being scheduled as of December 2014. Group dates are four consecutive Tuesday afternoons from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. January 20, 27 and February 3 and 10, 2015.

Fees: A sliding fee scale is available.

Follow-up Drop-In Group: There is also a plan to offer a monthly drop-in group to graduates of the program, to support their continued emotional mastery, at a nominal charge.

Facilitator's Experience: Heather is creating this group from 20+ years experience, including individual and group work in a children’s mental health residential and outpatient setting; co-facilitating emotion management groups in the school system; and many years of providing counseling to children and youth in agency settings.
