 ning of good food, fun, music, and friendship. We at Community to Comm
 unity will be proudly presenting our labor of love made possible by th
 e generosity of volunteer time and cash donations throughout the last
  five years.  This event provides an  opportunity for our friends an
 d supporters to see what community supported justice is all about. We 
 are honored  to be given the opportunity to listen to Michelle Vendio
 la’s wisdom.  In our work in the food system we recognize  the ind
 igenous peoples’ rights to land for cultivation, fishing, hunting an
 d gathering in customary and traditional ways along with the right to 
 freely exchange seeds and retain rights to their genetic material free
  from patents. We stand in solidarity as people of the land from the S
 outh with the Northwest’s indigenous people’s struggles for clean 
 water, land and food sovereignty.\n \nWe will have presentations by C
 2C project leaders and youth on Cocinas Sanas, Aguila del Norte Immigr
 ant Justice Project, Raices Sanas Food Sovereignty Youth Project, Raic
 es Culturales Youth Mentoring Project and the Food Justice Alliance. O
 ur community organizer Joaquin Martinez will be performing several pie
 ces honoring Cesar Chavez and the Raíces Culturales’s Youth will be
  screening a video of their Theater of the Oppressed presentation. Th
 roughout this school year the youth have identified and discussed how 
 they are affected by issues of oppression and discrimination through t
 he use of interactive arts such us photography and theater. Through th
 e  promotion of critical thinking and social justice, they have explo
 red possible solutions. The youth framed their  problem-solving strate
 gies focusing on Cesar Chavez’s legacy of dignity, non-violence, and
