SUMMARY:Cedar Basketry Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will be led by Irene Hinkle who has been wea
 ving baskets for over 20 years, and hosted by Chris Wolf in the cedar 
 forest where she lives.  Using cedar is an important piece of re-ski
 lling for residents of the Pacific NorthWest.\nWorkshop participants w
 ill learn to how to harvest cedar bark sustainably so that the tree re
 mains viable and alive.  Participants will harvest their own share of
  cedar bark and will separate the layers for use, learning how to prep
 are bark for basket weaving and for storage.  Each person will then w
 eave their own basket from the materials they harvested and hopefully 
 have time to finish it before leaving the workshop. \n$20 donation in
 cludes instruction and materials; work trade available if you ask ahea
