 City of Bellingham released a draft Urban Forest Plan* (UFP) on April 
 15. This pivotal report will guide the City's actions and regulations 
 regarding urban trees for the next 25 years. \n\nWe already see that 
 the City's draft lacks specific provisions to protect existing mature 
 trees -- other than brief mention of an upcoming Landmark Tree Ordinan
 ce that will protect only a few hundred largest trees within our city 
 (a tiny portion of our city's overall tree canopy). This omission shou
 ld concern everyone greatly.\n\nWorking with Whatcom Million Trees Pro
 ject we are riding to spread timely arboreal awareness and conversatio
 n within our city-of-great-verdant-potential.\n\nWhen & where?\n\nWe w
 ill convene for body painting at 4:00pm, Probably ride at 5:00pm, and 
 dance dance dance upon return.  \n\nWe will be meeting Sunday at the
  Karate Church, AKA Church of Elf Defense @ 519 E. Maple. \n\nBYO\n\n
 Please bring water, a snack, body paints if you can, wheeeeels If you'
 ve got them, distant relatives, the joy of coming into spring time, Sm
