Event Description

Learn how to build a classic Permaculture "herb spiral" garden.  Using nature as our inspiration both in its beautiful nautilus shape and its functional design, we will create this special kind of garden and learn about the benefits it can offer you in growing perennial herbs and vegetables for your kitchen.  Stay for an optional potluck dinner if you want to enjoy the sunset on Mt. Baker or a walk down by the Nooksack River here at Riverhaven.  People attending are free to donate dollars, Life Dollars, other offerings, or just your presence and effort-- all of which will be passed forward to future Permaculture learning for everyone.

If you are coming from Bellingham, I HIGHLY encourage you to contact the other people who are attending and carpool out.  Also, feel free to bring any herbs you want to divide from your own garden (chives, thyme, savory, etc).  Thanks!

Take River Road off of the Guide Meridian as soon as you cross the river, drive to the end, we are the last house on the left hand side with a large red barn.

See you there.

Sorry I'll miss it. I'll be too busy dancing at the Mission Folk Festival. But I look forward to doing a winter garden workshop the following weekend.

I can't wait. Here is a pic of what we have so far, to help get an idea of the scale of this spiral.
