Introducing the Presenters

Living Voices: Living Voices delivers a unique combination of theater, video, and live interaction that creates a high impact experience and an unforgettable journey through history.

Thomas Linzey: As founder of the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund, Thomas Linzey has advised communities throughout the United States on how to assert their right to local self-government and the rights of nature. Most recently, he was the legal advisor to the City of Pittsburgh as it combated the practice of natural gas fracking, which spreads natural gas and fracking chemicals into the ground water. The resulting ordinance bans fracking, denies legal personhood to corporations seeking to engage in fracking, and acknowledges the rights of nature.

Elizabeth Walker: A sustainability strategist and change agent, Elizabeth Walker offers a wide variety of services such as group facilitation, community engagement, sustainability plan development and  introductions to the internationally acclaimed Natural Step community visioning method.

Ernest Tutt: A professor of communications at Skagit Valley College, Mr. Tutt is noted for his stunning and dramatic portrayals of black orators such as Frederick Douglass, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King.

It provides an environment of inclusion that encourages members to become successful leaders.

KSVR is the student-operated radio station at Skagit Valley College (FM 91.7). It aims to provide a variety of viewpoints not easily available in mainstream media, to provide access for students and community volunteers for training to produce radio programming, and to reach local populations which are served little by conventional media in our area.
