Totem Pole Journey , Kwel'hoy "We Draw the Line"
Friday the 27th:
12:00 noon – 4:00pm: Northwest Indian College
5:00-6:30pm: Xwe’chi’eXen / Cherry Point
THEY WANT AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO ATTEND. (organize car pools as parking will be difficult) NPR will be there to document the gathering. The organizers are still short of funding to make this journey. Help Lummi Nation stop coal export by supporting this campaign! THE BLESSING CEREMONY AT CHERRY POINT WILL BE AT 5 PM, not 1:30 -3 as indicated above.
The 5 pm time was chosen so that people who work could attend. It is my understanding that the totem pole is expected to arrive at Cherry Point at that time. There has been some confusion about this, but the final resolution was for a 5 pm gathering.
