Event Description

Update: We have a special guest presentation. Sarai Stevens from Chuckanut Transition will join us to discuss CT's efforts to Foster a Vibrant Rural Economy via the social enterprise of the Bow Little Market.  Sarai will also tell us about her new book "Seeds for a New Day" which will be presented May 18th at Literature Live.

Join us on Thursday, May 2nd at 6:30PM.

We will continue to meet on the first Thursday of the month until we are done with the book.

Ownership of the book would be helpful, but not necessary.  If you have the earlier Transition Handbook, we will have some comparison between the two.  Many important parts of the Transition Companion are available online as the Transition Ingredients.

If you'd like to purchase the book, please consider purchasing from the TW Bookstore page here (via Village Books).  Purchases from our bookstore support both TW and our locally owned independent bookstore.

You can call Warren (650 380 3231) with any questions.

This is an Open Group. Drop-Ins are welcome!

Wish I could be there and wish you could video Sarai's presentation. Maybe next month!

Look forward to the evening.  I will be bringing at least one other person -maybe two.

I will make sure to adapt what I have learned to creating functioning networks in general so it make sense for rural, urban and suburban folk.

I also promise not to be the sage on the stage.  After all, we're all just making it up as we go along!  Cheers to the grand experiment and the courage to imagine...I look forward to hearing what has worked for you.

Sarai
