Sustainable Bellingham, Whole Energy Fuels and The Pickford Film Center sponsor YERT – Your Environmental Road Trip. Come support us and YERT’s West Coast Tour. This award-winning film is an inspirational and positive view on the challenges that we face in our efforts to live sustainably.

When: Wednesday, February 29th at 6:00pm
Where: Pickford Limelight on 1416 Cornwall (the old Pickford)
Map: http://tinyurl.com/7hz52bw
What: A movie (see description below) followed by a discussion with members of the YERT Road Trip, Whole Energy and Sustainable Bellingham.

YERT (Your Environmental Road Trip) is an adventure and a celebration of the American spirit in the face of adversity – a thought-provoking, inspiring, and sometimes hilarious, documentary about the courageous and creative individuals, groups, businesses and leaders of this country who are tackling the greatest environmental threats in history. Called into action by the ever increasing threats of planetary catastrophe (from climate change to toxic pollution, from water scarcity to habitat destruction), the three of us – Mark Dixon, Ben Evans, and Julie Dingman Evans – upended our lives, pooled our collective life-savings, and set off on a first-of-its-kind, 50-state, year-long journey of discovery to personalize sustainability and to answer a critical question: Are we doomed?

We hope to see you at this event. Contact us as info@sustainablebellingham.org with any questions.

 Hi Sara,

It turns out that I am needed somewhere else tonight.  I had to decline on two events because of it. I will try to find another way to view the film. I hope that some people saw my posts about it and can make it there.

Don't give up on me... It asks at the end of the film discription Are we doomed ?  - I run across folks that think so, But I say  NO WE ARE NOT YET DOOMED !!! -  Not with people like us getting the word out on positive solutions.

 thanks, Scott
