David, Again I give thanks for your gifts of writing! I give thanks that you get the truth about caring for the land. Thanks for your Garden group post & book review from author Wendall Berry's classic 'Culture & Agriculture' from 1977 (the yr I went back to the land & earthgarden & into a tipi during my young professional yrs). What Wendall writes, and what you reflect in your writing too, are important truths for us to re-remember. If you feel inspired to add your review to your blog, or as a new disucssion forum, that might keep your writing more accessible to all who are not on our Gardeners-Permaculture plant-soil geek group! Possible title: 'Naure's Abundant Nourishment vs Technology's Toxic Abuse".

Hi David,
I planted some of those peas we shelled at my potluck the other night, and they are sprouting up! I am hoping to get a crop of peas from them this fall, and learn how hardy they are. Thanks so much for the peas!

Hi David,
My email address is chrisandbella at yahoo dot com. Yes, I also prefer to communicate directly through email oftentimes, just one less step. P.S. I gave your note to Katie, but I think she is leaving soon for Oregon.

David, I asked Chris W. if I could invite a few non-Franklin gardeners to her upcoming potluck & video night. She said Yes! Here is copy invite below. I joined her urban Franklin Gardeners Club on this ning-site before I decided to create groups useful to the whole county network of gardeners...

Hope to see you there! "

Hey David,

I saw that you had written that you had missed the movie Food, Inc. I left the following note on Heather's seed saving forum. If you still want to see that movie you are welcome to join us. Just let me know.

I found out, as I was leaving the grain presentation Tuesday evening, that you had attended. I was in a bit of a hurry to get biking back home before it started to get dark. Sorry I missed a chance to talk with you about yurts. Maybe next time.

Paul

I loved your sharing & writing David, and getting to meet you!
You remember Wendall Berry, right...well he is both a writer & a farmer!
With all your multi-generational farmer genes in your blood and being raised in this bioregion you're a garden-farmer in the making for sure, with the gifts of both writing & being an ecologist!
I'm excited to show you our garden sometime and also a couple of my friends in town, and another permaculturist down the road on Northshore.
Plus, you've got to walk around Inspiration Farm more next time and see the amazing polyculture of plants & animals & energy & water projects they have evolving! I'm so glad to know another organic gardener close by...future plant & seed swapping for sure.
I've got to get my good king Henry (Chenopodium bonu-henricus) in the ground first thing in the morning! Same family/genera as lamsquarter & qunioa. I had to look up that latin name in Perennial Vegetables by Eric Toensmeier.
I am so thrilled with how well the talk went tonight, both the speaker & the participants!

Thanks David,
I spent a few minutes at the link you sent and it looks like a good source of info. I will return to the site as I have more time to check out all they have to offer there.
Thanks again, Paul.

Hi David,
I have been interested in yurts for some time now. But I've never lived in one. In fact, I've never actually seen one except in pictures. Do you know any "good" web sites about living in yurts that are more than just sales sites?
Thanks and all the best,
Paul
