Hi Laura,
Thanks for all the work you did on this project for us. I appreciate your thoroughness and making it easy for others to plug into. Right now we have some other priorities financially that are higher on the list than this great looking tool. So we will not be going in on the group purchase.

In my first and second years I will need to feed all the honey back to the bees, and unfortunately will not have a surplus for awhile yet. Sorry to disappoint, soon ..J

Hi Laura, the seed-oil press sounds interesting. I'll need more time to consider.
I'm also intersted in a hand or foot press for using with tinctures & oil extractions..
I would want something for small batches, but with a commercial quality to last a lifetime.
I've posted some of the links I've found under my comments on my personal TW page at:

Your the best Laura! Thanks for creating a great work-party at the Center for Local Self-Reliance, for teaching at the Herbal Medicine Making workshop, for being on multiple committees that accomplish actions, and for being so much fun to be with, and filled with the best of ideas!
Great work-party action pictures! Garden work is truly year round!

Herbal Medicinal Making workshop idea sounds great! Keep me in the loop, and let me know when you know what dates you are considering.
I have a couple names to pass on for folks you might like to contact to help with the class. Give a call later or email me.

Hi Laura, thank you for the invite... I wish I could come, but I've been up in Vancouver BC assisting with a workshop on Plant Communication. Sounds like a great event!! While I am in Sedro-Woolley, I'm technically in Whatcom county (I guess that border waves a lot), but I would love to be in touch with some of the people that are nearby!! I'm pretty new to the area so don't know too many folks. I'd definitely like to know about future stuff going on around me!! I hope this finds you well, take care.

Hi Laura- I'd be willing to donate a massage gift certificate to the TW workparty volunteers. Let me know what i need to do or how I get the gc to you and it would be great if there is partial payment in Life Dollars involved. Cheers-

I have posted my ad on CL and thanks for the link but I am looking not to rent something per se but to share land with others in the hopes of building. I did contact the guy though. Turns out I know him and we could NEVER be land mates - oh well.
I appreciate the link and keeping me in Mind and Heart! Love, Jamie

I am studying methods of queen rearing, and having settled up the Nicot method,
anticipating having a system for raising Russian queens in place by the fall. I sent a shout out to Susan, should she want to open a dialog on starting up beekeeping. It was a real pleasure to meet you. I was agreed by all that you are a cool and groovy chick, for an 'outsider'. Thanks for the wine. John

Hi Laura,

Cool! You also left me wondering if there is any other work that has been done since last year on ways to figure out which products are more carbon friendly. The group from last year is connected online in a google group and I will see what I can find out.
Good to talk to you. Cathy

The group you are looking for is called MakeShift. I think their website is www.makeshiftproject.org. Something like that. Best of luck!

Hi Laura! Welcome to our online TW networking site! I'm appreciative of all you have to offer our community! You might be interested in connecting up with some of the other TW sub-groups online here. For you neighborhood there is a Transition York group. Before the Unleashing event, we had already established these other focus/topic groups that might interest you: "Organic Gardeners... Permaculturists", and "Seed-Savers..." and "Food-Security Events Planning". Let me know if you need help locating them, or want me to send you an invite.
I hope you'll come to next Sundays potluck that has a food theme...info under Events tab! See you on the earth-garden!
