Hi Sajah, Can you share about the plant communication class in Vancouver?
One of my favorite books for this year has been Stephen Harrod Buhner's ' The Lost Language of Plants'. I'm guessing you've already read it.
Yesterday I was blessed to find a few turkey tails, that I hope to learn how to turn into medicine. Also harvested some wild chantrelles & oyster fungi. See you on the path!

Hi Sajah! Great to see you starting the Plant Community discussion and connecting in with your whatcom neighbors. Sorry to hear many of us missed your event at Bloom.
You'll find support from many of us in coaching you in posting the event & spreading the word. Next time try posting as an event on this TW site, and also requesting Shannon to post in her Garden E-news. I'll reply to your discussion later when I'm caught up.
When you meet Linda at Wonderland Teas, tell her hello from me and that we welcome another class! She is not yet on this TW network site.

Your Welcome Sajah. Here is the link I have to the seed-swap barter exchange event:
http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/events/inspiration-farm-seed-swap-and-1
And here is the link to our TW Earth Gardens group:
http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/organic
I hope you'll take the time to RSVP to the event, volunteer to co-create with set-up or take down as you're able, and join us in networking on the Earth Gardens group.
You may also want to request on Shannon M's page to receive her Garden E-News mailing that she sends out that many of us share events & info with.
I'm guessing you may have walked the land of Sunray & Bonnie down in Skagit, who do natural building. I sent you a TW friend request. Once we connect that way it is easier for me to pass on info when its relavant.
Cheers! Plant Seeds! Sing Songs! Walk in the Woods!

Welcome Sajah! Great to learn of another person who cares about reducing waste and is learning from the earth about medicinals! I am guessing we know some of the same folks as I have also networked with permaculture folks since the early 80's and completed my PDC course at the Bullocks.
You might be interested in heading north for our autumn seed-swap & barter fair at Inspiration Farm, where Chris W worked for a while. The info is under the Events tab or leave me a comment or send friend request if you have a question.
The owner of Wonderland Tea in B'ham has given some medicinal herbal classes, and I'm sure there are many who would welcome any wisdom you have to share or offerings of medicinal plant walks. (sometimes I can host travelors or ask our garden-permi geek network). Plant Seeds! Sing Songs!
