I've posted links above to articles that were discussed at the meeting. The video of the bike lanes in New York is the third link. Check them out if you haven't before.

Okay, I'll send out some invites and see if they're willing to get involved at this point. City staff will NOT be interested. Some others (Mt Baker Bike Club) will wait to see if the group really has any oomph behind it before they get involved. The weather Sunday night should be warmer (above freezing) for riding, but may be wet or icy.

Invites should now have been sent out to everyone. If anyone knows anyone who works for the city who may be interested, bring them along!

Sounds good to me. I assume you're talking about PM and not AM. See you then. And please suggest in your invitation for folks to walk the talk of this group..... get to my office w/o a sigle occupancy car or any kind of car, for that matter.

Okay, since I haven't heard anything else yet, I've decided we'll have the meeting at your office starting at 7:30 to about 9:00 or so, depending on the group. I'll make invites and post it as an event tonight.

David, you may have already thought about this, but you might consider also posting the Dec 13th workgroup meet-up on the transportation forum that was started before this group, once the date/time/place is set. There may be folks from that forum interested in a workgroup that have missed seeing this Sus.Transpo. Group. Possibly also consider posting on the Event page as there are new folks often signing on to WT ning site. Here is phone number for Bloom from the web: 733-2381

Thanks for sharing your vision and keeping the wheels rolling!

I suggest we just do it here at my office. Worst case is we're crowded. BFD. No cost; heated............ cool!

I don't know, that's the problem. I'll post it as an event on this site, so any number of people could come from here, and I will also send out invites to bike shops (including the Hub) and the Mt. Baker Bike Club. It's quite possible it could be over 12. We don't have funds for things such as renting the room at the Sustainable Living Center, do we? Or have organizers for our events there in the past paid for it themselves? I'd just rather not be spending my money too much right now...

My office would be just fine so long as there aren't more than about 12 folks. How many do you expect, David?
Comment by David Waugh on December 9, 2009 at 1:25pm
I was going to be scheduling it after the potluck would be over. Also, Bloom has been being used for events on Sundays such as this. However, I have not heard back yet to know if we could use it yet.
