Event Description

Our region is brimming with medicinal plants. Whether you live in the city or country there are medicinal and edible plants growing right outside your door! This course is all about what they are and how to use them. 

Each class will be out in the mountains, shores and fields of our bioregion learning from the healing wisdom of our plants. Classes are hands on & interactive. Each class will provide you with medicine from our harvests for your personal apothecary.

*Wildcrafting Ethics & Techniques

*Body System Therapeutics: Digestive System, Nervous 
System, Immune System, Skin, Endocrine System, Adrenals, 
Heart & Circulation & More

Dates & Times: 
You can sign up for 3, 6 or 9 classes (you choose ahead of time which dates).

We meet 1 Saturday a month from 10 am – 5 pm on the following dates:

March 26, April 23, May 21, June 18, 
July 16, August 20, September 10, 
October 22, November 19

Instuctors:
Leslie Lekos is founder of Wildroot Botanicals. For the past 16 years she has studied extensively with respected herbalists from across the country. She has a deep love for plants, the natural world and supporting people to find tools to reconnect with their innate inner knowing. Leslie also assists women as a birth doula, is a certified Iyengar yoga instructor and co-author of the book, Yoga for Pregnancy.

Dr. Gary Bachman, ND, RN has worked in the healthcare field for over 40 years in mental health, hospice, oncology, therapeutic touch, massage and naturopathic medicine. Besides practicing at Skagit Naturopathic Clinic he is active with permaculture, growing an orchard, raising honey bees, wildcrafting & foraging and being in nature.

Highly recommended hands on local Herbal Apprenticeship with Leslie Lekos... Monthly classes..take a few or all.
