Hi Cynthia, nah, I think I'll stay away from the cookies this season. I'm cutting down on sugar, way down. I prefer the raw desserts myself. The problem with gluten-free cookies is that they are loaded with sugar and white flours for the most part. And I can save money staying away from sweets.
Thanks. I would like to attend the cookie event, but I'm living on food stamps so buying or baking cookies is not an option, especially something as expensive as gf-cookies.
Maybe by January when my financial situation improves, I will take you up on your offer to attend the GIG events. How I would love to taste those gluten-free cookies though.
Thanks for letting me know about the GF group potluck. I did receive an invitation for Thanksgiving. And I bought a GF pumpkin pie from the Community Food Co-op which I hope lasts in my fridge until Thanksgiving. I'm sure it will stay fresh, but I'm just concerned that I might devour it in the middle of the night...
Hi Cynthia, I met you at the Permaculture class, and then again at the BIONS meeting. Great to see you on the TW site! What are you doing Transition-wise these days? I have been having a great time gardening my heart out-- I hope everything grows! I have been talking with my neighbors a lot and we are starting to organize a loose neighborhood gardening network-- where we can share resources, ideas, seeds, tools, food, and enjoy each others company! Hope to see you again soon, your smile is really contagious :) --Chris Wolf
