Hi Rob! Thanks for sharing your pictures & wisdom at the ReSources! And thanks for passing the word on the O.U.R. EcoVillage workshops! I've posted the PDC and Food Internship as events on our TW site. Would you be willing to post the " Natural Building Skillbuilder Internship" at OUR EcoVillage on the TW website? Would be great if some folks went over for their workshops! If you ever need some extra muddy hands or tools for community building projects, let me know. I helped build one of the first rocket stoves in the county!
Sorry for the delayed response. It took me this long to figure out how to access my comments...not on this site often enough but that will now change. I went to the meeting yesterday and was encouraged to share my basketmaking as a reskilling video and workshops. I'm working with Warren now to start the filming sometime soon and will be putting together some workshops and posting them here. Look forward to your tours after the New Year. Have a great break!
nice to hear from you hope you and family are enjoying the comforts of your cob home
Yes I am inerested ! I will be teaching natural building - kid projects this winter if you want to give a few yourself Also if you want to give a natural building lecture for one of the urrban gardeners get togethers let me know.
Thanks for your interest in the Humanure group-- I would love to add you to our group here on the ning site. The only hitch is-- in the beginning the group decided that new people would need to come to one face to face meeting before we add them to our ning group. I can't really change that decision without getting the group's vote on it. I will ask them and get back to you... Thanks!
Hi Rob! Great that you've started the Natural Building group.
I'm a fan of O.U.R. Ecovillage on Vancouver Island, with the work they've done building and helping to change their local building codes.
Here is another link on this site that you might want to post a cross-link to your new group: http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/transitionadusforhomeowners/forum/topics/innovation-in-building
There is a way to send out a group invite to anyone on your friends list, and also create a new discussion announcing your group, that will then be forwarded out to many of the TW site.
I'd sure like to see more folks being able to build some 10x12 natural buildings to use as mini guest rooms, as outdoor composting sheds, or as outdoor kitchen/showers.
