Google; Arcosanti.  After graduating from Huxley (12/74), I enrolled in the 2/75 workshop and fell in love with this magical place.  In 1982 I became a lower income Mr. Mom and didn't go back until 2008.  Then returned in '09 for Paolo's 90th birthday party.

Hello Cindi--I'm interested in teaching at the Folk School, but I have no idea what to charge. Can you give some guidelines?

Thanks, David

Hi Cindi, I was trying to clear out my email inbox when I came across the note you sent last October welcoming me to Transition Whatcom.  I kept meaning to reply and am embarrassed it's taken me this long.  I've participated in a few events, but I haven't transitioned to Transition Whatcom nearly as much as I'd hoped by this point.  I'm currently working on transitioning my daughter, Michelle who has autism, to high school next year - can't believe it!  Being Michelle's life coach seems to consume much of my time.  I'm so grateful that you and others have brought the Transition movement to Bellingham.  I look forward to attending more events and hope to see you again soon!

Hay Cindy, I hear your rattle! I've come to realize that my OWN  transition to Bellingham this last few months has taken all my energy, hopefully not descending! I found a little garden space at least...but no job yet. So trying to get connected with whatcom transition will take some time for me. Zeratha is coming this wknd!!! See you soon?

Hi Cindi!
I just went to my first transitionpdx meeting last night. They are going to send me email addresses of other Vancouverites that have attended their meetings. I will contact them and the goal is to meet for the first time in November. I am very excited about working in tandem with the Portlanders.Well I tried to add my picture, but it just seems to add this computer talk so maybe when I actually send it it will magically transform into a picture. Love your name! :) Cindi F.

Hi Cindi! Paul ended up building our greenhouse himself. We have a pretty good harvest of tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, melons and herbs this summer! We're planting the fall crops soon!!

Hi Cindi!

Thanks for your message. I work with the City of Bellingham and worked with Shirley and Jill's group for the March World Water Day event- they are fantastic! I am looking forward to connecting with more folks on here.

Best!

Yes, Renata is someone with shared interests. She is the one who introduced me to the group. I would love to have tea sometime, and I'm planning to go to the Community Living potluck with Renata next week.
If you are interested, my thoughts on what I am calling a "Community Supported Center" are online at this link: http://www.avanoo.com/o/f2faf9c017342336ad73fe4c9d393e80

Hi Cindi,
Nice to meet you briefly last night. I would have loved to hear the details of your presentation. I have been working on a vision statement for a model to revitalize community and shift the ecomonic base. I am not sure how to best introduce the ideas, but it would be awesome to have these integrated into a larger discussion. My sense is it could be a way to pull all of the interest groups together.
Let me know your thoughts on how to best enter the dialogue. I can send the draft vision statement to anyone who is interested in playing with the concepts it contains. With joyful anticipation, Dawn

Hey Cindi,
Did you here the news? Seattle, New York, London and Tokyo just declared themselves as Transition Cities. The Mike McGinn just issued a proclamation about this, citing Whatcom County as his inspiration. He and Richard Conlin are planning to come to your Great Unleashing!

Hi Cindi,
a boat group!?....... I will consider that. And I like the "Coffee Clipper" idea from Hawaii! Reminds me of the "Tea Clippers" of 150 years ago!
How do I get a copy of "Collapse"?
Thanks for your hard work!
See you in two weeks (almost), not 1 week like I stated previously. At Unleashing.

Hi Cindi,
I am so excited at how much progress you all seem to be making. i am sorry that I will be in Oklahoma during the weekend of the Unleashing doing a T4T with Zaida there.

Transition Seattle is in the initial stages of forming and we have much to learn from you all. We are hosting an open space on May 1 exploring resilience in Seattle. More details to follow. have fun this month as you move towards the great unleashing!

Cindi, I just found an online link to the B'ham neighborhoods at http://www.cob.org/services/neighborhoods/profiles/index.aspx

I have not found one for the broader watershed that would include neighborhoods like Geneva, Laurel, etc.

Hi Cindi! Would you pass on the earlier neighborhood list & link that was posted somewhere on the TW site many months ago so we can use this for establishing a whatcom gardenshare online network? The link David M forwarded to me doesn't open up on my computer today....I don't know if its the TW system or my net provider that is blocking access.

Glad to hear you've been so busy working on your place. dont worry about the mistakes, unless you aren't learning your lessons. With the diversity of plants and projects, are guaranteed successes.

I wonder if a critter is eating your highprotein worms.

keep up the good work of working towards providing for yourself!

Hi Cindi,

Yup, I remember your place well. How's it going?

I am working on the '10 tour for the Edible Forest Gardening slideshow--lots of new stufff.
Just confirmed the date of Feb 10 7pm at WWU, Frazier Hall, Room 4.

I will be posting info pretty soon.

Glad to see orchestrated effort to make a transition rather than collective denial!
