Thank you for the warm welcome to Transition Ferndale. I look forward to meeting and working with as many members as possible, to learn from and create the connections necessary to become part of community in this area. I am making the transition back to the farm after 30 years away, and have lots to (re)learn.
Hi and thanks for the invite to Blue gold, I've been sharing thoughts and findings on Water issues for many years, and actually casually knew Jim Olsen from the Film FLOW. from when I worked on the GT Coomons conservancy project in T.C. Mich.
I have learned a great deal from kind friendly people like yourself, I will try to attend the showing and hopefully get a chance to talk with you next week.
Thanks for your welcome!
I would be interested in talking with other economists, and learners about the growing probability of a currency collapse in the future. This is a topic which would be of little interest to retirees, as it will primarily affect the young. Please feel free to contact me anytime. Thanks!
Judith, I have never met your husband or you to my knowledge but I was reffered his name because I was researching radiant floor heating and geothermal. I also am friends with your log cabin neighbors Dave and Jennifer Branch. I am consulting with Dave's distillery project.
Thank you for your welcome. I look forward to learning more about and participating with Transition Ferndale. I won't be able to make the meeting this Tuesday, but I look forward to meeting the group in the near future.
My wife and I recently purchased 5 acres off of Enterprise road. Our intent is to eventually build a little mini farm.
Hey Judith that sound great. My wife and would love to get together and really help a transition ferndale group take off. We've been really interested in helping orginizing a group and help it take off/ take charge. We have a rain barrel system and are working on creating further automation of using the water for our gardens etc. We'd love to get together and shares ideas.
Thank you for organizing T Ferndale. Was great meeting you yesterday. I wish I could stay longer and participate in discussion and planning. I promised to spend time with my friends and my attention was a bit divided.
Anyway, I don't remember if it was The Blink or The Tipping Point, both by Malcolm Gladwell. Great books!! The latest one is called the Outliers. Also worth the read.
I will be in Everett next Sunday at the monthly membership potlock meeting of Fourth Corner Exchange chapter there. Getting around to meet our membership :)
Wow! Congratulations on Transition Ferndale getting a good kick start! Perhaps we could get a volunteer at some point to peruse the members and identify/email those members that haven't added their community very clearly. I have generated a list of about 60 communities they can choose from - we just need someone with some time to do it. I am guessing they will need to work with David Macleod but perhaps not. Do either you or David have time for this? I wish I did!
That's great, Judith! I had a prior commitment last night, so couldn't go. It did sound good. Glad you got to go. I've experienced a lot of the economy crashing this year personally. Thank goodness for Fourth Corner Exchange, food stamps and bankruptcy.
