You might be interested in the local permiculture & gardening group on our Whatcom Transition site. Its located under group tab or you can find it direct here:

You also might be interested in a small Ecological Restoration group we also have on the Transition site. If you send me a friend request I can pass on more info. Many of us are also becoming members of fourthcornerexchange or exploring alternative currancies.

Mushroom remediation is so important for reclaiming the earths health! In whatcom county there has recently been a lot of commercial cow compost being sold that has been contimated by an herbicide and is harming grower crops!
I've not heard if anyone is trying to use fungi! At least two of our Tw members have received training from Paul Stamens and plan to attend his bioremediation class too.

Please introduce yourself sometime if we end up at the same event or garden work party!
