Yesterday I just sowed some buckwheat & Tyfon greens as a cover crop in a neighbors newly cultivated bed prepared for their hot summer crops. I find these combo works well too for either short term or long term cover crop......Those oats are harder to find and I buy a bunch when I find them! I love how they die back in the winter when I do fall plantings, creating an bed protected…

I find these combo works well too for either short term or long term cover crop......Those oats are harder to find and I buy a bunch when I find them! I love how they die back in the winter when I do fall plantings, creating an bed protected from erosion and all ready for spring planting! And surely they are one of the most esthetic grains!
