Theadora Sideras joined Laura J Sellens's groupHi Theodora!
Re events question:
Most of the events will be sent out in a weekly email, or you can explore them on the TW site under the 'Events' tab, and then click the 'View All” tab. Or try this direct link: http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/events
Two events I may be attending are:
Next Tues Garden Party- http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/events/sb-roving-garden-party-5-1-cornwall-park-neighborhood-6pm
Tonights 4/26 film at Pickford ' Crisis of Civilization' - - http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/events/crisis-of-civilization-film-at-limelight
Also sat there will be plant sales, and sunday the quarterly Transition meeting....details under the Events page or look for that email.
Looking forward to meeting you!
I was at Ryn Drums seaweed talk last week at Native Plant Society meeting...hope you heard about that...I don't post the native plant meetings on TW, since the room is always packed!
Hi Theadora, I was at the mushroom meeting too! I was so tired that I was sitting on the floor in the back. Sorry we didn't get to introduce ourselves! Hope you connect with Shannon re getting on the Garden E-News email list.
I plan to attend cidar press work party at Center for Local Self Relicance this saturady, and then maybe find some folks to go looking for mushrooms with to bring to park Sat pm in time for sundays show. I'll forward my phone number & email, though I can be easiest to reach in person versus technology!
Most of us share our news & events with Shannon who volunteers her time to compile & emails them out as 'Garden E-News'. (That helps keep all our online-garden-traffic low).
This weekend there is lots going on – Seed-Saving Class with Celt, annual Mushroom Show, Cidar Pressing, two Chinese Medicine classes with Dov, and our regional Permaculture Convergence!
