Community Backyard Poultry Workshop at Caretakers House in Fairhaven Park

March 23, 2013 from 1pm to 3pm
Join the Bellingham Flying Chickens 4H Club as they lead you through everything you need to know about raising poultry in your own backyard. They will cover poultry care basics, brood boxes, coop requirements, breeds, and local animal regulations.  There will be plenty of chickens there, too, for petting, holding, and admiring. Growing food. Bicyclist. Self-employed educator of young children. Neighborhood activist. Board member of the Center For Local Self Reliance at the Caretakers House & Gardens in Fairhaven Park.

I am familiar with rainwater catchment systems, and have tools/knowledge building solar hot water heaters, and food dehydrators.
