Outside of being committed to a local and sustainable lifestyle, I am not officially involved, but would like to be a contributing member of the community towards the transition.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I have been becoming increasingly conscious of the dilemmas posed by our culture's way of conducting itself and the need to alter these cultural habits. I feel strongly that individuals acting in isolation are largely ineffective towards enacting any broad reaching change, so I have been seeking just such an outlet for my energy towards affecting a change of this sort.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I am a advocate of cycling as a mode of transportation, and I am very interested in developing urban agriculture. really, I understand most of the issues very well and could be effective in various capacities. If dedicated human energy is needed, I could probably supply it!
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I was doing a web search for urban agriculture in whatcom county and the transition site popped up.
