- How are you currently involved in the Transition?
- I am a student at Western, about to graduate (June 2011) and am very interested in becoming involved with sustaianable agriculture, permaculture, biodynamic farming methods and community projects.
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- I am motivated to help find ways of expanding a greater awareness of farming, food culture, self-sufficiency and nutritious and healthy lifestyles for others particularly in my generation. I would like to find the balance of traditional and modern knowledge of living in a productive community with very different people. I value the discussion of these issues between people of various generations in pursuit of a more holistic understanding.
- Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
- I am enthusiastic about learning and experiencing new things. I love to hear stories from people about how they farm, live, work, play, and create. I am an excellent weed puller and enjoy cooking food as well as building chicken coops.

Try and make it and encourage your friends, it's a very important topic and Matia gives a bang-up presentation!
