- How are you currently involved in the Transition?
- I am new to Bellingham actively seeking like-minded folks within the community who are focused and dedicated to sustianable living, growing, harvesting and preserving.
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- I identify myself as a progressive thinker and seeing the way of the world as it as, has induced me to see a need and pursue a passion of urban goriwng which I feel is sponsored within the mission of the Transition Movement. I am seeking community and collaboration on ideas to further promote these passions.
- Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
- I am a certified organic master gardener, urban grower for over 15 years, chicken raising affeciando, food lover, heirloom seed saver, and general all around good gal. I am now the farming operations manager for The Willows - Lumni Island.
- In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
- I am hoping to reside in Fairhaven...looking right now for the perfect fit.

Rental?

Just sending a shout out to the group here that I am searching for a rental for myself and my dog Jackson. He's an Aussie who is nearly three. I work in Fairhaven daily and also am the auction coordinator for the Whatcom Land Trust. It's my hope that I will find a small cottage, mother-in-law space or similiar sized home I can care for and love while of course gardening! Please shoot me a response if anyone knows of or has such a home. Thank you!

Hi, Jennifer.
Fairhaven is lovely and I wouldn't mind living there myself. I do love the dog park and lake at SV and being able to walk out the door to exercise with sheepdog Zoe. Also, I'm much more likely to kayak/swim in the lake than in the bay. Farming is difficult in SV because of the many trees. We do have a community garden, I grow veggies and herbs on my deck and I planted blueberries in the greenbelt next to me last year. Welcome to the area.
