Welcome Erin, I thought you might also be interested in these other online networking groups that are through transitionwhatcom. (Food Security, Ecological Restoration, Living Democracy, and GMO Awareness & Action)

I'm not sure where the Parkview neighborhood is at, but if its in the northern urban zone, than there is both a Transition Columbia & Transition Birchwood that are getting started up.
There is also a Transition Whatcom sponsored event this Friday. View the details under the Events tab. Let us know more about you on your personal page when you have the chance.
