I moved my money, support Occupy Together, have been supporting progressive movements and political candidates who are most likely to bring progressive policy change to our country that favor all people, the environment and other animals all over the globe.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
My mom was an FDR Democrat while my dad was a Barry Goldwater Conservative with strong libertarian leanings. Many dinnertime discussions made me the committed progressive I am. I think globally and act locally, spending my career working on behalf of the world's children and their families in many countries throughout the world. I participated in organizing the first Earth Day on my campus in 1970. Once I returned home and retired, I realized how far our country had moved from our history, our national traditional values and a trajectory that is sustainable and desirable. I see this transition movement as a viable means of getting back on track.
