How are you currently involved in the Transition?: Currently a member of the Whatcom County Council, Director of the Pipeline Safety Trust, and work nationally on sustainability issues such as tar sands transport

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?: The nation has it's head in the sand regarding peak oil and other energy issues. Through local actions perhaps we can protect our own little piece of the earth, and hopefully that example may spread

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?: Political knowledge and contacts
Waste reduction/recycling and reuse expertise
Whatcom County water resource expertise

Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?: Rick Dubrow

After the sad vote outcome at council on Tues pm, re the prioritizing of gravel mining re-zone over working small-farms & forestry, it was helpful for me to remember the good news of you being there and speaking truth.
